Updating from 1.7 to 2.5 is very easy, I chose to download the update package and then install as a component and it went smoothly, just remember to upgrade the language files as well as only the English language files are included. Also remember to take a backup of the entire website and database so that it is easy to recover if something goes wrong. Good luck!

I have created two modules: the ECB Dynamic XChange Rates, showing the exchange rates from the European Central Bank and the calendar JavaScript Calendar that displays holidays wich are editable. You can also change the appearance via CSS.
Both modules are available from Download in the menu on the left.
